This should be the first in what will be possibly a long line of pictures of things that I've obtained from work. Being that I work with suppliers a lot, well, I get a lot of "crap". Meaning, little gifts that they give us when we visit them to try and sway our opinion for some reason, and which really never works. Now, there are possibly some nice things, but most of the time, it's cheap produced crap from say, China, or some other 3rd world nation. And cheap means, well, not well made, and most likely to fall apart in the very near future.
With that being said, let's kick this thing off.
This, aside from a hefty bonus, might be one of the best things that I have ever gotten from work. Why? A free case of Diet Pepsi kicks ass! I mean, I am a fan of this soda, have been for a long time, and to get an entire free case (that has lasted me months here), is one of the best gifts I could have gotten, and it has saved me money. Say you get even just one soda a day. 5 days in the work week. Multiply that out by 4 weeks. You get 20 drinks. At one dollar per drink, you get about 20 bucks a month you're shelling out for soda. I look at this little gift as a cost savings to my life in general.
Here is why they did it. After the 4th of July, they put in a new cafeteria staff and vendor. They are way more costly than our previous people. In order to quell the masses about the new higher prices, they gave us a free case of soda. Sure, it's not a big deal, but at least it is useful, and I dare say, delicious.
